Economic Fuel is working collaboratively with the Humboldt County Office of Education to support formal entrepreneurial education in our local schools. Under the umbrella of the Rising Stars Foundation - Young Entrepreneurs Fund, we will be working to inspire students in entrepreneurial pursuits.

Rising Stars Foundation was established by the Humboldt County Office of Education in 2006 to support educational enrichment activities for the youth in Humboldt County.

Humboldt Regional Occupational Program provides tuition-free classes and on-the-job training to more than 1500 high school students and adults annually in Humboldt County. A blend of entry-level job skill training and skill upgrading classes for those who are already employed are offered in eleven different training areas in Humboldt County. Assistance in getting a job or continuing education at College of the Redwoods, Humboldt State University or other post-secondary institutions is also available.

	Lemonade Day North Coast introduces kids to entrepreneurship! This event, sponsored by Arcata Economic Development Corporation and the Decade of Difference, encourages kids to start a lemonade stand and sell their lemonade to the entire community. Schools, community groups and businesses get involved to make this happen.
	Junior Achievement Student Center is an online navigational tool geared to help you become workforce ready. Here you can search for colleges based on your wants and needs, seek out financial aid to help you pay for that higher education, gain knowledge on how to handle your money, explore careers you have always been interested in, get tips on how to start a business of your own, and much more!
	Mind Your Own Business walks you through five easy steps of business ownership - whether you've just had a brainstorm for your first business venture or you've been at it a few years. So go Mind Your Own Business, and find out about the challenges and rewards of being an entrepreneur.
	Entrepreneurship Investigation is an exciting, interactive and comprehensive curriculum project designed for youth, ages 10 -19. ESI uses a variety of tools to help participants develop their entrepreneurial skills and find their business niche. Through exciting activities, case studies and current technology, participants are transformed into budding entrepreneurs!
