BUS 69: Small Businesss Entrepreneurship
Course Description: Students will create a professional business plan in order to learn the strategic business planning process, including analysis of the marketing, operations, management, technology and finance functions of a new business.

BUS 35: Marketing
Course Description: Students will create a professional marketing plan in order to learn the strategic marketing process, including environmental scanning, industry analysis, market analysis, target market definition, marketing strategy creation, financial budgeting and projections.

BUS 68: Intro to Principles of Management
Course Description: This course is a practical introduction to the skills, concepts and attitudes of successful management. Primary management functions such as planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, as well as related skills which include social and ethical responsibilities, discipline and performance evaluation, motivation and communication techniques of managers, are areas of emphasis.

BUS 10: Intro to Business
Course Description: A survey course of business in our economy, including forms of business organization, marketing, finance, personnel, production, accounting, advertising, electronic data processing, consumer relations, government and business and corporate management. It is designed to expose all students to the many facets of business life both as consumers as well as potential business workers and/or entrepreneurs.

Multiple sections of BUS 10 are offered, including sections located on the main campus, the Arcata Instructional Site, and online. See the CR class schedule for more information.

Community & Economic Development courses are not-for-credit classes offered in addition to the college’s academic program. The program is a self-supporting entity of College of the Redwoods. The courses are presented for your lifelong learning and enjoyment.
